Logarithme Népérien

Fonction logarithme népérien

Définition et propriétés générales

Définition

La fonction logarithme népérien notée ln\ln est la seule fonction vérifiant : ex=a    x=ln(a)e^x = a \iff x = \ln(a).

Propriété

Pour tout réel x>0x>0, eln(x)=xe^{\ln(x)} = x Pour tout réel xx, ln(ex)=x\ln(e^x) = x.

Propriété

La fonction logarithme népérien est :

  • définie sur ]0;+[]0;+\infty[

  • continue

  • strictement croissante.

  • ln(a×b)=ln(a)+ln(b)\ln(a\times b) = \ln(a)+\ln(b)

  • ln(1a)=ln(a)\ln\left(\dfrac{1}{a}\right) = -\ln(a)

  • ln(ab)=ln(a)ln(b)\ln\left(\dfrac{a}{b}\right) = \ln(a)-\ln(b)

  • ln(an)=nln(a)\ln(a^n) = n\ln(a)

  • ln(a)=12ln(a)\ln(\sqrt{a}) = \dfrac{1}{2}\ln(a)

lumix

Attention : ln(a+b)ln(a)+ln(b)\ln(a+b) \not = \ln(a) + \ln(b).

  • ln(a)=ln(b)a=b\ln(a) = \ln(b) \Longleftrightarrow a = b

  • ln(a)<ln(b)a<b\ln(a) < \ln(b) \Longleftrightarrow a < b

  • ln(a)ln(b)ab\ln(a) \leq \ln(b) \Longleftrightarrow a \leq b.

lumix

  • limx+ln(x)=+\lim\limits_{x\rightarrow +\infty}\ln(x) = +\infty

  • limx0+ln(x)=.\lim\limits_{x\rightarrow 0^+}\ln(x) = -\infty.

Propriété

Pour tout entier naturel k1k\geq1,

  • limx+ln(x)xk=0\lim\limits_{x\rightarrow +\infty}\dfrac{\ln(x)}{x^k} = 0

  • limx0+xkln(x)=0\lim\limits_{x\rightarrow 0^+}x^k\ln(x) = 0

  • limx0ln(1+x)x=1.\lim\limits_{x\rightarrow 0} \dfrac{\ln(1+x)}{x} = 1.

lumix
